HistoryThe company was founded in 1995 by Martin Wood. His genuine passion for helicopter flying and appetite to achieve an exceptional service of maintenance, supply of spares, helicopter training and charter needs led to the formation of MW Helictopers Ltd.

Martin Wood started flying in 1989 with an R22. Yet in 1991 he fell in love with and purchased the first of many 341G Gazelles. His enthusiasm the spectacular Gazelle Helicopter – an ‘undiscovered gem’ – was soon shared by all who had the opportunity to see her fly, or even take the controls themselves.

Martin Wood’s frustration at the lack of and speed of availability of spare parts and overall efficient support, encouraged him to invest heavily into the Gazelle helicopter and Gazelle spares’ packages. Soon, helicopters of various type, including twin engine and spares were sourced worldwide in order to service the demand of MW Helicopters’ ever-growing client-base.
